Three in a Row for Unforgotten

Progressive three-year-old filly Unforgotten completed a hat-trick of wins with another impressive victory at Rosehill.

With wins over 1250m at Canterbury and a last start victory over 1300m at Rosehill, Unforgotten stepped up to 1500m and relished once again, claiming the win by 2.5 lengths.

A filly by champion sire Fastnet Rock, Unforgotten is out of a Galileo mare – a cross that has been so successful and has produced 13 stakes winners.

“It’s a great cross, I hear the Coolmore team talk about it all the time. Hopefully we see it come out in the autumn,” Waller said.

“I think over this distance she’s a bit more effective too. She was giving away a lot of weight to boys today but I thought her win was very impressive.

“That will be the last run for this prep, she’ll have a short break and then we’ll see what she can do in the autumn.

“I don’t know which races we’ll target yet but we’ll take her through a natural progression up to a mile and just see what happens from there.”

Selected by Mulcaster Bloodstock, Unforgotten was purchased by Chris Waller Racing for NZ$360,000 from the draft of Curraghmore at the 2016 New Zealand Bloodstock Premier Sale.

From five career starts, Unforgotten has already earned A$191,220 in prizemoney. She is owned by Mr C J Waller, Magic Bloodstock Racing, Mr F W Cook, Mrs C M Cook, Mr N A Greenhalgh, Mrs M T Greenhalgh, Mr R Shrimpton, Mrs C Shrimpton, Mr I Bruce, Mr R Smith, Mr P Y W Ng, Mr K H Warriner, Mr J T C Lake & Mr B L Mathieson.
