Chris Waller Racing and Mulcaster Bloodstock purchases continued their dominance over the tough Randwick mile on Saturday with exceptional Street Cry mare Winx winning her second Group One having won the Queensland Oaks in June. Her breath-taking performance in the $1 million Epsom Handicap took her career record to eight wins and three seconds from 14 starts and earnings over $1.8 million.

Said Chris Waller of her performance “She wins races from impossible positions at distances from 2400 metres of an oaks or first up at 1300 metres or today at a classic Randwick mile.

She overcomes track conditions, barrier draws and scrimmages on the turn.

She’s been everywhere and she’s still firing.

“She’ll be off to Melbourne and there’ll be a nice race for her down there.”
